RBC-UV-5057 is a single component, high strength motor armature banding resin which cures quickly and efficiently when exposed to ultraviolet light. RBC-UV-5057 replaces heat curing resins and mechanical banding methods for small motors. This polyuerthane based material is formulated to achieve a thixotropic consistency so that it will not migrate during cure. RBC-UV-5057 cures in seconds under a 300 watt/inch UV light source, thus eliminating costly ovens and lengthy cure cycles. In addition, the 5057 banding resin exhibits excellent adhesion to most coil wire insulation systems.
